Lawson Group kick off multi-million pound project in Luton

Lawson Group Ltd today announced that they have been selected by leading construction company Volker Fitzpatrick to carry out demolition works at the former Community Enterprise and Resource Centre (CERC) at The Moakes, Marsh Farm in Luton. The demolition signals the start of a brand new redevelopment of the site as part of what is known locally as the Marsh Farm Masterplan, making way for a 60,000 square foot building in its place.

The demolition work, which is due to begin within the next few weeks will see the steel framed factory building of the CERC knocked down, whilst the neighbouring two storey office block and various other structures will remain.

Martin Wilson, Chairman of Lawson Group Ltd comments “We are delighted to have been chosen by Volker Fitzpatrick to be a part of this project. The demolition is just the beginning of what is set to be a great addition to the Luton area. Wherever we work in the country, we are always committed to causing as little disruption as is possible with demolition; that is why despite the complexity of the project, we are confident that we will complete it to a high standard to make way for this exciting new development.
